STRENGTH TRAIN TOGETHER

 

Strength Train Together

This class will blast all your muscles with a high-rep weight training workout. Using and adjustable barbell, weight plates, and body weight, this workout combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls, with functional integrated exercises. Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat, and push you to a personal best!

Classes begin March 15th at the Fitness Center!

WOD = WORK OUT OF THE DAY

Participants will perform functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity for a fast but productive workout.

DIABETES ACADEMY

Diabetes Academy is a free class given by a Novo Nordisk Diabetes Educator to help you learn about managing diabetes.

Curriculum includes:

Get Started And Stay on Track

Fitness Orientation

During an orientation, a staff member will assess your health history and show you how to use our strength machines.  Our staff will get you started with a simple exercise routine to get your program going.  This service is free to our members.

 

Fitness Evaluation

Fee:  $30 Members/$60 Non-members

The Fitness Branch will be offering fitness evaluations to members and non-members.  During this evaluation the participant will become aware of their measurements, body fat, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility, through various fitness tests.  Non-members may get $30 of their joining fee if they get an evaluation and join the Y!

 

Body Fat Evaluations

Fee:  $15 Member/$25 Non-members


Functional Training System (FTS)

Regardless whether you are a training athlete or someone that seeks better fitness, this metabolic training gives a total body conditioning outcome.  From strength to cardiovascular, core engagement to balance, this training method works in a circuit manner around the PurMotion stat

Kid Fit

A fun class incorporating various fitness techniques and principles to help kids develop aerobic endurance, muscular strength, flexibility and a love of exercise.

Ages: SSS 6 – 11 years old
Sessions: Sept 5 – 28 ~ Oct 3 – 31 ~ Nov 2 – 30
(No classes in Aug & Dec)
Days: Tues & Thurs
Times: 4:00 – 5:00 P.M.
Monthly Fee: $20 Members / $40 Non-members

 

 


Kardiac Kids

Has your doctor prescribed an exercise program? The Y offers a specialized exercise program for those needing a supervised exercise program. Kardiac Kids is free with your Y membership.


Box Mania I

Box Mania is a boxing/martial arts class that offers a cardio and toning workout while teaching traditional boxing skills and training techniques. It’s a great way to take your fitness to the next level! Box-Mania is for men and women and is divided into two levels to suit all fitness levels.

Aerobics Classes

The Y offers a variety of aerobics classes to meet your schedule and exercise needs. You can participate in the following classes free of charge with your Y membership.


MATRIX TRAINING SESSION

After completing your FREE orientation on the Matrix equipment, you may receive additional instruction as needed up to 5 sessions.  $10 per session for Members only.  Call the Fitness Branch to schedule an appointment.  (361-0268)

 


Zumba

Zumba combines high energy and motivational music with unique moves and combinations that allow the zumba participants to dance their worries away.  Every class is a party so join us and see what the excitement is all about!  See aerobics schedule for days & times.
