OUR HIRING POLICY

It is the policy of the Prattville YMCA that employment decisions shall be based on merit, qualifications, and competence. Except where required or permitted by law, employment practices shall not be influenced or affected by virtue of an applicant’s or employee’s race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. In addition, it is the Prattville YMCA's policy to provide an environment that is free of unlawful harassment of any kind, including that which is sexual, age-related, racial or ethnic.

Providing safe and secure programs for our members and program participants is of utmost importance to us. The information gathered in this application and then through our interview and selection process if you move forward through the employment process is designed to help us provide the highest quality and safest programs for the people of our community.  This  our first line of defense in protecting our children in our programs from potential abusers.

Your application will be considered "active" until the position for which you are applying has been filled or for 90 days whichever is sooner. If you are hired, proof of citizenship or immigration status will be required.

The only summer positions that are currently available are for lifeguards and swim instructors. All other summer positions have been filled at this time.
